Ted Talk 1/9

A promising test for pancreatic cancer, this teen goes and searches the internet and is highly motivated to make a test to detect signs of pancreatic cancer. He has many struggles showing his idea to professors that wouldn't give him the time of day. The goal is to make a test that is less invasive, fast and has a high percentage of detecting it. Modern day tests for pancreatic cancer is incredibly slow, time consuming and costly. This teenager had his mind set and showed up all 199 professors that he did come up with something amazing. This clip is highly creative and inspiring that you can set your mind to anything and do whatever you want. You don't have to have a million degrees to figure out a cancer test, creativity is key and we need to spread more inspiration and cheer one another on instead of not giving anyone a try.

Because I could not stop for death

1. School where children played, fields of gazing grain and the setting sun.
2. Roof was almost invisible, swelling of the ground and practically a mound.
3. May be the way death is described and the after life of a person and how it is merely forgotten.

Sonnet 73

1. The author says that there can be fire seen in him, twilight of day, yellow leaves.
2, I feel the last 2 lines is more appreciating the life that the author has lived and knows his time is very limited but to not take life for granted and love everything deeply.
3. I would place a line break after the fourth line because the first and third last words rhyme and also the second and fourth and it continues all throughout the poem. The last two lines would be a stanza of it's own because both the last words rhyme.

That time of year thou mayst in me behold
When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold,
Bare ruin’d choirs, where late the sweet birds sang

In me thou seest the twilight of such day
As after sunset fadeth in the west,
Which by and by black night doth take away
Death’s second self, that seals up all in rest.

In me thou see’st the glowing of such fire
That on the ashes of his youth doth lie,
As the death-bed whereon it must expire
Consumed with that which it was nourish’d by

This thou perceivest, which makes thy love more strong,
To love that well which thou must leave ere long.

I don't believe that you should check the background of social media of future students and base that on their acceptance. Some posts and tweets are from very long ago and you shouldn't judge someone on their past. I think school should prepare us more for the future and jobs, I feel they could do more for this. We as students learn how to memorize and copy from the internet but in real life we aren't going to learn anything from that. We need hands on real life experience in the job field we want to go into. High school is just preparing me for the tests of that marking period and then I forget all the information that I have scorned into my head and 90% I will never use the rest of my life. I get we do worksheets and practices to practice on our worth ethic but most of the subjects, students aren't interested in and they their self esteem goes incredibly down if they aren't good at something. We should offer other options for the work force they want to go into so they are preparing and bettering themselves.

The poem "The Loveliest of Trees" was written in the season of winter and describes the tree as wearing white and hung with snow. The author decides to go to the woodlands and see the cherry tree because he only has a couple decades left to see all the trees "Now of my threescore years and ten, twenty will not come again, and take from my seventy springs a score, it only leaves me fifty more". I feel the author of this poem really values nature and the time he has on earth he knows he won't have forever to admire.
